Vinicio Pimentel

SALEM – Mr. Vinicio Pimentel, 93, of Salem, beloved husband of the late Bernarda (Quiroz) Pimentel, died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Thursday, august 6th, 2026 at his home.

Born in Bani, Dominican Republic, he was the son of the late Mario Pimentel and Isabel Emilia Melo. He was raised and educated in Bani, D.R. and lived in Santo Domingo, D.R. until immigrating to the United States in 2007, coming to Salem to make his forever home.

Mr. Pimentel was well known throughout Bani and Santo Domingo, as a hard worker and owner of a local grocery store. He enjoyed his career and his customers alike. He made friends easily.

Family was always at the center of his life. Vinicio was happiest when surrounded by those he loved during the holidays and birthdays. He was a music lover (Perico Ripiao) and enjoyed a Presidente Beer at lunch. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and uncle.

Vinicio is survived by his children, Orquidea Pimentel, Vinicio O. Pimentel and Isabel Pimentel, his granddaughter, Emily Pimentel, his siblings, Juan and Urbanelia Pimentel and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held at O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq. (at Salem Common) SALEM, Friday, August 14th at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours Thursday, August 13th from 5 to 8 P.M. SALEM - El Sr. Vinicio Pimentel, de Salem, amado esposo de la difunta Bernarda (Quiroz) Pimentel, falleció pacíficamente y rodeado de su cariñosa familia el jueves 6 de agosto de 2026 en el Hospital de Salem.

Nacido en Baní, República Dominicana, era hijo de los difuntos Mario Pimentel e Isabel Emilia Melo. Creció y se educó en Baní y vivió en Santo Domingo hasta que emigró a los Estados Unidos en 2007, estableciéndose en Salem para hacer de esta ciudad su hogar definitivo.

El Sr. Pimentel era muy conocido en Baní y Santo Domingo por su gran capacidad de trabajo y por ser propietario de una tienda de comestibles local. Disfrutaba tanto de su oficio como del trato con sus clientes, y tenía facilidad para hacer amigos.

La familia siempre ocupó el lugar central en su vida. Vinicio se sentía plenamente feliz cuando estaba rodeado de sus seres queridos durante las fiestas, las reuniones al aire libre y los cumpleaños. Amaba la música y disfrutaba de sus programas de televisión. Será profundamente extrañado y recordado siempre como un esposo, padre, abuelo y tío cariñoso y dedicado.

A Vinicio le sobreviven sus hijos, Orquidea Pimentel, Vinicio O. Pimentel e Isabel Pimentel; su nieta, Emily Pimentel; sus hermanos, Juan y Urbanelia Pimentel; así como numerosos sobrinos y demás familiares.

ARRANGEMENTS: El servicio funerario se llevará a cabo en O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, ubicado en 84 Washington Sq. (frente a Salem Common), Salem, el viernes 14 de agosto a las 11:00 a. m. Se invita a familiares y amigos. El sepelio tendrá lugar en el cementerio Greenlawn de Salem.
