DANVERS- Mr. Walter "Wally" L. Weymouth, 78, of Danvers, Beloved Husband of the late Lois N. (Gillespie) Weymouth passed away suddenly on March 6, 2013 at his home.

He was the proud father of Melissa Duff and her husband Frank of Georgetown, Douglas S. Weymouth of Danvers and Dana S. Weymouth and his wife Doria of Danvers. He was the devoted grandfather of Jared Weymouth, Madison Weymouth, Samantha Weymouth, Sabrina Weymouth, PJ Weymouth and Sr A Jake Korthas of the U.S.A.F.

Mr .Weymouth was born on July 13, 1934 in Winthrop and grew up in Dexter, Maine before returning to Massachusetts in 1948 to attend Saugus High School and to further his education at Northeastern University where he studied business management.

An honorably discharged veteran, Wally served his country as a member of the United States Army National Guard as Sargent.

Mr. Weymouth was very active in the transportation industry in which he was currently employed as a Master Instructor and Certified Master Safety instructor at New England Tractor Trailer Training School in North Andover. Mr. Weymouth retired as General Manager of GTE Transport in 1988 . Walter proved his leadership roles throughout his career as the Past President of The Private Truck Counsel of America, the past Director of the American Trucking Association, a past member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Motor Transportation Association, a past member of the American Management Association of New York, a past Member of the Board of Director of The Maine Motor Transportation Association and the Founder and President of Jared's Inc.

"Pa" as he was known, dedicated his life to his wife, children and grandchildren. His passion for teaching students at N.E.T.T.T.S. was extremely important to him as he took such pride in passing on his years of knowledge in the tractor trailer industry. In addition to his love for his family and commitment to teaching he was an avid NASCAR fan.

Wally touched so many lives and will be sorely missed by all.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (Rte 62) Danvers, Sunday, March 10th, from 3 to 6 P.M. His funeral service will be held at the conclusion of the visitation at 6 P.M. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Pa's memory to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
