Obituary

PEABODY – William F. Genett, 94, previously of Marblehead, loving husband of Rosemae (Stockfish) Genett, died peacefully on October 16, 2025 at Brooksby Village, after a long challenge with congestive heart failure. Born in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, Bill was the son of the late William and Florence (Green) Genett.

He was raised and educated in Wisconsin, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering. Throughout his career, he held positions with National Radio, Com-Tec, and Bose, before retiring and continuing to share his expertise as a consulting engineer for various establishments.

Bill had a lifelong passion for tinkering and was quite the Mr. Fix-it. He was also an avid amateur radio operator, known by his call sign W1FMS. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather who will be greatly missed.

A longtime resident of Brooksby Village, Bill and his wife Rosemae cherished the many friendships they made there and enjoyed being part of the vibrant community.

In addition to his parents, Bill is predeceased by his daughter, Vicki Genett.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Rosemae (Stockfish) Genett of Peabody, his son, Stephen Genett and his wife Heather of Lawrence, his daughter Laurie Conlon and her husband Kevin, of Lunenburg, and six grandchildren.
