OUR HISTORY
Guiding Danvers Since 1957
Our Danvers funeral home has had a long and rich history of serving the families of the North Shore. First established in 1957 by Robert and Trudy Peterson, the funeral home became known for exemplary service—an experience that O’Donnell has been proud to maintain since acquiring the funeral home in 1987. Featuring elegant residential architecture, our Danvers location has been updated and renovated to deliver the most modern funeral care available.
Our Salem funeral home was founded by Henry J. O’Donnell Sr. and has since passed through the practiced hands of multiple generations, remaining family-owned and operated for a century. The first funeral home in Salem to operate out of a residential building rather than a storefront, The Henry J. O’Donnell and Sons Inc. Funeral Home was ahead of its time and has continued to evolve to meet the needs of our families.
