I can’t say enough about the professionalism that each person we dealt with at O’Donnell‘s funeral home showed to my family and I as we not pre-planned our parents funeral arrangements. Last week we carried out those funeral plans for our beloved Dad.

First, Chad was terrific in helping us plan the funerals. He was very professional and patient as we worked through the many different plans. Then when my Dad died, Sonya took over and implemented our plans, she was the beacon of light during our dark days. She was always there each step of the way quietly guiding us and ensuring that everything went off perfectly.

There was never a question that our family would not use O’Donnell funeral home…. But what a pleasure to deal with these professionals each and every person we dealt with, was compassionate and helpful.

They are truly wonderful and caring people and are amazing at what they do, especially when families are in such despair and not thinking clearly . I will forever be grateful for them .

I attended the wake for Gulio DiNardo this past Wednesday 12/28.

I’m a senior disabled individual who uses a walker. When I pulled up and parked right next to the stairs at your Danvers location a very nice gentleman came out to tell me there was a ramp right around the back of the building. He walked me around the building, opened the door and escorted me inside and even took my keys and moved my vehicle right outside the door where the ramp is. While walking I had shared a terrible experience I had that morning at another funeral where they treated me horribly. They treated me badly and long story short. They locked me vehicle in so tight I couldn’t get my walker thru all the vehicles and never made it inside for the funeral service.

By the way, the gentleman even escorted me back to my vehicle when I was leaving your establishment. Mr. Billings was the perfect example of professionalism. I told him the individuals at the funeral I attended in the morning could learn a lot from your staff.

I just was to express my gratitude to you and your staff. The way people submit complain about everything these days I thought I should go the opposite way.

Recently, I lost my very best friend, my mom.
She was only 66. O’Donnell staff were amazing from the time they came to my moms house right up until today. They reassured me they would get my mom out safely seeing she lived on a second floor Victorian condo. This was extremely important to me and I was nervous. The staff were so kind and they listened to all my feelings.
Although, this time has been the worst in my life, Diane was wonderful with helping my sisters and I set up all the arrangements. She helped me find the perfect picture of my mom for her obituary.
My niece wanted my mom to forever hold a charm she forgot it the night of the wake. We thought it was too late! We asked Diane and she reassured us she would get the charm in my moms hand after the funeral. She came up to my sister at the cemetery and held it up and said she would get it into my moms hands.
We didn’t have to ask for anything more than once. All of the staff truly were wonderful! I’ve never heard of a funeral home sending a card and text messages to ask how you are and see if you need anything. O’Donnell staff are genuinely caring people and I’m forever grateful for their excellent service!

John was amazing yesterday. He was a good sport when I asked if he would pose for a picture in front of the SUV holding the urn. He seemed a bit surprised initially (I’m guessing it’s not a frequent request!) but was happy to comply when I told him the family was getting a kick out of Dad returning home via a personal driver in a black stretch SUV! This was a guy that got around in old pick-up trucks and logging equipment, so to have such a fancy ride home is almost poetic!!!!

I have been so pleased with everyone on your team. You have a very compassionate and caring group of people and I’m grateful to all of you for making a difficult time the best it can be under the circumstances.

To Start, THANK YOU for everything you and your team did for my brother. You were all very kind and helpful, which gave us relief during this difficult time.

April 1, 2020 our precious son passed away. Mary and I were devastated. We will never recover from this tragedy.
